TEXARKANA, Ark. –  Authorities are searching for two murder suspects who escaped from a southwest Arkansas jail by a using a hacksaw blade to saw through metal bars covering a window.

The Miller County Sheriff's department says 23-year-old Cortez Hooper and 35-year-old Quincy Stewart were still at large Tuesday morning. The pair was discovered missing early Monday at the jail in the border city of Texarkana.

Authorities say the men jumped out a second-floor window and then somehow got around a 10-foot fence topped with razor wire. Chief Deputy Duke Schofield (SKO'-field) says an investigation is under way to determine how the men obtained the hacksaw blade.

Both men were being held on murder and other charges.
