Texas mom allegedly left baby in van while she shopped May 23rd 2012, 08:09 KYLE, Texas –  A Texas woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly leaving her 5-month-old baby inside her van while she went shopping at a department store, MyFoxAustin reports. Police say 36-year-old Cecilia Perez' 5-month-old baby boy was found by passers-by after he began crying inside her van. MyFoxAustin reports temperatures were in the mid to high 80s. Witnesses say the windows of the van were cracked, and one was able to reach into the car and unlock the door. Police eventually found Perez inside the Ross department store, where she had allegedly been shopping for about half an hour with a three-year-old child. Perez was charged with abandoning and endangering a child, a second degree felony. Click for more from MyFoxAustin.
