SHENANDOAH, Pa. – Authorities say a woman and three children are dead after a fire tore through several homes in the northeastern Pennsylvania town of Shenandoah.
According to Schuylkill County's deputy coroner, the row house blaze killed 28-year-old Tiffany Matejick-Sanchez and her 10-year-old son, Christian.
The two other victims were Sanchez's nephews, 10-year-old Damien Lopez and 7-month-old Aziah Hernandez.
A fourth boy identified as another son of Sanchez was taken a hospital for treatment.
Fire officials say the house was fully engulfed and flames were spreading to neighboring homes when they arrived around 6:15 a.m. Tuesday.
At least a dozen residents were forced to evacuate.
Deputy coroner Andrew Szczyglak says autopsies are planned for Tuesday night. A state police fire marshal will investigate the cause of the blaze.
