| San Jose post office evacuated after powder found Mar 27th 2012, 17:58 SAN JOSE, Calif. – Authorities have evacuated a post office in downtown San Jose after a mysterious white powder was discovered in a package. Fire Capt. Mary Gutierrez told the San Jose Mercury News that two employees complained of sore throats and headaches Tuesday after being exposed to the package. Gutierrez says those two, as well as a third employee in the area, have been decontaminated by a hazardous materials unit. U.S. Postal Service spokeswoman Augustine Ruiz says the building was evacuated immediately after the package's discovery and that police are investigating. | |
