Police arrest suspect in killing of 5 in San Francisco home

SAN FRANCISCO –  Police have arrested a suspect in the gruesome killing of five people in a San Francisco home.

Police Chief Greg Suhr said Sunday that officers arrested 35-year-old Binh Thai Luc on Sunday and booked him on five counts of murder.

Suhr declined to release details of the arrest or what led investigators to him.

He did not say whether police have determined a motive for the killings, saying only that Luc knew the victims and that a weapon "capable of cutting" was involved in the slayings.

The bodies of the three women and two men were found Friday morning by a woman with access to the home.

A police spokeswoman said the crime scene was so tangled that officers could not determine the cause of the various deaths.
